Fencesteel is based in South Auckland and specialises in installing fences throughout the greater Auckland area. We have also sent kitset fences nationwide and occasionally installed fences throughout the country by special request.

About Us

Ron ter Huurne - Director

Ron ter Huurne is an NZCE qualified engineer who enjoys using his knowledge and experience to find innovative solutions to customer's requirements.

In 1997 Ron bought the company Fencesteel along with the equipment to produce the patented Staplelok farm fence post system. Following the domestic and international success of the Staplelok fencing system, Ron designed the unique Z47 vineyard post to be made on the same machine and developed a full range of accessories for both products.

Fencesteel also specialised in manufacturing residential and commercial steel fencing. Ron developed many systems to help produce these fences efficiently and gained a strong customer base that still calls on Ron for every fence they need.

Ron enjoys using his engineering and design skills to solve architectural problems and provide a consultation service to his customers.

In 2007 Ron created Fence World to reflect increasing demand from customers for fences and gates in different materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and wood. He maintains a hands on role and is still personally involved in the production of every item.

The Team

Fencesteel is a small dedicated team and our aim is to ensure that your contact with us is pleasant and rewarding.

Ron can be found out and about providing quotes, assisting customers with choosing the best solution and playing a hands on roll on installs.

Mike can be found running the busy office and showroom and will be on the end of the phone or email to answer any of your enquiries. Mike's back ground is electronics/avionics and when he finds a spare moment he loves working on gate automation and access solutions. He would love to find the complete access solution. Mike is currently studying part time for a Dip Bus.

Jun ( Rodolfo) - can be found out in the workshop and is in charge of creating all our gates and fences. Jun has been with Fencesteel for 9 years

Daniel can been found out and about doing installs and responding to call outs. Daniel love is setting up gates and gate automation.

Mitchell can be found in the workshop welding and fabricating and will also be found out and about doing install work.

Loraine is our part time office administrator and keeps our office tidy and accounts in order.
